I Am Legend and Other Stories

The library wanted this back NOW so I had to hurry up and read it. This was a great book! I haven't seen the newest movie yet, but I think I'm surprised that it really didn't focus on the vampires as much, in a blood and guts way. I liked how it completely focused on Neville and what he was going through - with the vampires as the outside plot.

I think this is one of the first horror books I ever read. I read this as a sophomore in high school, and then a few more times over the years. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I realized this book was written in the 50s. So ahead of its time and a super easy read. If you saw the movie and hated it, you will probably love this book. Probably in my top 10.
