I Am Legend

The New York Times bestselling classic tale of the last man on Earth, I Am Legend by Richard Matheson--one of genre literature's most honored storytellers. Now a major motion picture starring Will Smith!
Robert Neville is the last living man on Earth...but he is not alone. Every other man, woman, and child on Earth has become a vampire, and they are all hungry for Neville's blood.
By day, he is the hunter, stalking the sleeping undead through the abandoned ruins of civilization. By night, he barricades himself in his home and prays for dawn.
How long can one man survive in a world of vampires?

This is one time I like the movie better.
My favorite
This is a classic horror novel about a bacteria that has spread throughout the world and made everyone act like the everyday notion of what a traditional vampire is. With the exception of one man who seems to have been immune to the bacteria.
I think this is a great take on the traditional tale of vampires and Matheson had a very interesting way to explain why this bacteria elicits certain biological responses while also delving into the psychological aspect of the vampiric behavior in those who has been taken by the bacteria. Behaviors that aren't caused by the bacteria but by human superstition. The only things that I didn't enjoy about the story was there were two instances of using antiquated terminology for certain groups of people and the ending itself. That was a little disappointing for me.
Otherwise, very interesting!

The ending has a great payoff.
Well written, but just a mid plot tbh. It's more sci-fi than horror which was interesting, but 80% of this is him losing his mind.
