I thought that this read was simply incredible. This book is well written and easily understood as the authors breakdown their concepts step by step. As a children's therapist and a clinical social worker, I would recommend anyone who works with children, or who has children of their own, to read this book. I picked this up to help the parents of my clients I see at the community mental health center.

Something I specifically loved about this book was the breakdown of information and how the author included little comics to see how the information could be implemented into a situation with dialogue. First time parents and parents who are struggling should read this book to make informed decisions on their parenting skills.

This book focuses on helping children deal with their feelings, engaging cooperation, alternatives to punishment, encouraging autonomy, praise, and freeing children from playing roles.
