What I liked: I always enjoy a book set in Los Angeles, and this book’s setting seemed authentic. What I disliked: “Woman-falls-in-love with someone she shouldn't” is unbelievable! He was responsible for her sister’s death. Also, why the rushed ending in a 400 page book (proposal, meet-the-parents, and wedding all in one chapter)?

Holy moly DEBUT?!
This is my romance wishlist made into a book.

Imagine the person partly responsible for your siblings death is now your coworker.... and you two may be falling in love.

Both are writers and both are part of a book to tv adaptation. Tension is high and bristly (rightfully so) But as we get closer glimpse at both characters we truly see how deeply human they are... and how deeply attached they are meant to be, as soulmates.

A beautiful falling in love journey that will absolutely devastate and obliterate your heart. What more can you ask for?

Lots of talk about grief and grieving a family member and suicide talk.

Amazing, passionate, and detailed steamy scenes as well.

Rating this one a 3.5 ⭐️

I did like the romance story but I was thrown off by some of the POV changes, and some of it felt a bit rushed. Overall I did enjoy it!

While I did finish this read I was constantly doubting if I wanted to continue. It was kind of like watching a movie that was trying to be so many genres of movies from scene to scene, and in the end turned out to be a car wreck you encounter on a busy highway: you don’t want to look, but you do. I didn’t really want to finish it, but I did. 🤷🏻‍♀️
