Mission Statement

Founded in 2017, Words, Wine & Wit Book Club is a global, inclusive, and intersectional feminist community that celebrates literature. Our mission is to foster a love for reading, promote diverse voices, and create a safe space for meaningful discussions.

How it all works...

• Each month, we select a thought-provoking book for our members to read and explore.
• Our Discord server features dedicated channels for each book we read, broken down into sections or chapters to facilitate deeper conversations.
• We understand that life can get busy, so while we encourage reading the book, we respect that it may not always be possible.
• We encourage supporting local bookstores, charity shops, and libraries to promote a thriving literary community.
• Feel free to share your current reads, bookish news, and anything else related to books and Bookstagram.
• To maintain the excitement for our group read, please refrain from posting any spoilers about the current book.
• Stay tuned for announcements about exciting events, including opportunities to connect with authors.

Our main group is based in Cambridge, but we also have thriving chapters in Hertfordshire/Essex and Suffolk. If you are passionate about our mission and values, we welcome individuals to start their own chapters of Words, Wine & Wit Book Club. To ensure consistency and uphold our values, we ask that all chapters adhere to our guiding principles and maintain inclusivity and intersectionality.
