The best book I have read all year. Why did I wait so long? I couldn’t book this down. Sure, the first 200 pages can be rough, but once you really dive into it, this world doesn’t let you go. I loved everything from the modern world to the mystery to the deception. I cannot wait to start the second book!

It felt like nothing was happening from pages 0 to around 650... then everything happened in the last 140 pages with like 5 ish pages leading you onto the next book.

Spice level is low... this book gets recommended with Quicksilver, but it's nowhere near as spicy, which isn't a bad thing as the story and world are interesting

Holy moly this book you guys. It's so good. SJM has an unparreled ability and talent for world building and character depth. There was a lot of info at the beginning that was hard to get through but once the story picked up, oh boy. It kept me on my toes. I was questioning everything I knew almost every step of the way. Highly recommend!

Reading to the 400 page mark was a huge struggle but after that, things really picked up. Grateful that my sister for continuing to insist that I finish it! My fav character is the demon cat and I demand to see more of him in the next book

I honestly was expecting to find the same type of story as ACOTAR when I saw fae involved. I was very much proven wrong. As a true Sarah J Maas book the last chapters were action packed and so so so good.
