I really enjoyed Honor. It was beautifully written and so easy to read, even though the themes were absolutely heartbreaking at times. I found Smita such a relatable character—her internal conflicts and the way she navigated everything felt so genuine. The book really made me think about privilege, identity and the injustices that so many people face daily. It’s one of those stories that stays with you long after you’ve finished it. Definitely worth picking up if you’re after something powerful and thought-provoking!
I found that the book was very well-written. I usually don't like stories of this kind, but I found it compelling to the very end.
An enthralling novel about modern versus ancient India. The story was gut wrenching and emotional. Thought provoking as well.
Gritty and poignant story set in modern rural India. Smita is an American journalist who is asked to follow through on a story door a friend who needs surgery. Smita ends up awakening her own personal struggles as she learns three story behind Mina and Abdul. Shocking events occur yet as we learn the story behind their romance and watch Smita navigate the country she yearns for, but never thought she’d visit again.
