There are two sides to every story: yours and mine, ours and theirs, His & Hers. Which means someone is always lying.

When a woman is murdered in Blackdown, a quintessential small town, reporter Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Detective Jack Harper is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation.

Someone isn’t telling the truth, and some secrets are worth killing to keep.

His & Hers is a twisty, smart, psychological thriller and a gripping tale of suspense, told by expertly-drawn narrators that will keep listeners guessing until the very end.

8.5⭐️ - rounded down for Bookclubs The queen of the twists! I love the way Alice Feeney writes, it really keeps me on my toes and trying to guess the outcome. My notes were just me asking myself more questions and then going back to old thoughts to just find myself backtracking again. I think the only thing I could guarantee was that I didn’t trust anyone. I enjoyed the dual perspectives but it definitely added to the plot twists. The audio was incredibly creepy specifically the murderer chapters. I won’t say it’s perfect but it definitely had me on the edge of my seat and managed to continue to shock me so I’d say that’s a win. If you like a good, twisty, psychological thriller, I highly recommend.

Pretty good page-turning thriller, providing a nice break between meatier reads. I did not in any way shape or form guess who the culprit was, so that was quite a surprise!

Sinister and dark...though the big reveal at the end was a bit of a stretch for me - sometimes it is better to stick to one of the more predictable suspects and commit to better character development rather than an outlandish twist just for the shock factor. This was definitely a fast-paced read, though it was also a tough one at times, as none of the characters were likeable and the one character that truly deserved justice and redemption was garishly discarded. Might give one more Feeney book a try as who doesn't enjoy a dark thriller...
