Following Harrow through her journey after Gideon is heart wrenching and utterly confusing. Anytime a piece of Gideon fought to the surface and Harrow unconsciously shoved her back down, a piece of me died not knowing why this was happening. Being kept in the dark was so frustrating, but in the end rewarding. No matter how close the two were, they were always just out of reach from one another. I mean what kind of story with lesbians doesn’t involve excruciating heartbreak and constant suffering? Cant forget the yearning either. They both deserve a nice little coffee shop AU, but there isn’t enough angst and bones in those for them. Anyway, this series is beautiful in so many ways and earth shattering in so many others. Ultimately, I already gave my flesh to you, and I already gave you my end.

Although I did not enjoy the sequel as much as the first book in the series, this is also a very good read! You will spend a lot of time wondering just wtf is going on, but the writing and plotting are superb. I cannot wait to continue the series with Nona and eventually Alecto. Once you pick this one up, you won't want to ever stop reading about the Nine Houses and the Locked Tomb

Made me confused for quite some time while reading, but it was worth it in the end
