I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated Holmes' ideas, but this one was a "can I get an 'amen'?" moment: “…however, if you choose the apple-type option every single time, you’ll never to get experience the pleasure of chocolately goodness.” Life isn't meant to be a never-ending series of chores and responsibilities. This, and so many of the book's ideas, align neatly with Box Lunch Lifer philosophy: a great time to use your happiness “agency” to make better choices is during your workday lunch break. It's a regularly-scheduled little bundle composed of food that makes you proud and time spent on something that’s personally meaningful. I think Holmes' sincere enthusiasm for YOUR happiness and practical tips for making it possible could change your life in ways you didn't think possible.
