HOLY GUACAMOLE!!!! Holly Jackson really knows how to keep readers on the edge of their seat. She really has a knack for taking sometimes the simplest things and making such a phenomenal mystery/thriller!
To be honest, the mystery wasn't as compelling as the first book but I still really enjoyed trying to piece it all together as Pip tries to figure it out. The surprise twist at the end totally took me off guard and I definitely devoured the last 100 pages in one sitting.
In this second book, Pip starts a podcast detailing her entire journey in book one as well as the trials that are occurring in real time. One day her friend Connor comes to her saying his brother Jamie is missing, the police aren't investigating, and he knows she can help him. At first Pip doesn't want to get mixed up in the drama and the danger of it all again but with a family scared and desperate for answers, she agrees. What ensues is another complex map of new detail after new detail and interview after interview to piece together the order of events to try and find him safe and sound. Just like the first book however, if you think you know the answer, just wait because another twist is just around the corner.
Pip and Ravi's relationship is adorable and the whole cast of characters working together to solve this mystery will keep you hooked for sure. I cannot wait to see how this amazing trilogy will end!

Can I just say Ravi is book boyfriend material, and that Pip is one lucky girl? She struck gold, diamonds, etc. I do hate that it ended in a death but I do like how Pip is kinda like transformed in this book. Like a darker, morally grey version?
It was really good. I cried at the end.
Really good sequel in the series. I can’t wait to read the third and final book.
Idk which book I liked more, this book or the first book. I loved seeing Pippen’s character develop more in this book. Kind of excited to read the last book
