I greatly enjoyed reading this book. Having gone to a small, midwestern liberal arts college myself, I felt an immediate connection to the story, and enjoyed finding parallels in the descriptions in this book with my own experiences. In addition to the main character, I grew to love all the women who played a major role in his life: Stephanie Knox, Mary Cantonelli, and Louise Becker (I didn't feel as though Natalie Taylor's role was as major during the time periods portrayed in the story), and I found them all to be quite memorable.
