Instant New York Times bestseller!

"I absolutely loved this book and didn't want it to end." --Liane Moriarty, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Big Little Lies

“This is an ‘accidentally stayed up until 4 a.m. because it's impossible to put down’ kind of novel.” --USA Today

Seven perfect days. Then he disappeared. A love story with a secret at its heart.

When Sarah meets Eddie, they connect instantly and fall in love. To Sarah, it seems as though her life has finally begun. And it's mutual: It's as though Eddie has been waiting for her, too. Sarah has never been so certain of anything. So when Eddie leaves for a long-booked vacation and promises to call from the airport, she has no cause to doubt him. But he doesn't call.

Sarah's friends tell her to forget about him, but she can't. She knows something's happened--there must be an explanation.

Minutes, days, weeks go by as Sarah becomes increasingly worried. But then she discovers she's right. There is a reason for Eddie's disappearance, and it's the one thing they didn't share with each other: the truth.

⭐⭐⭐⭐️ / 4 stars

I had seen this one around social media and been wanting to read it for a while now. It's also another "Last Chance" book from the library where I work.

It's a shorter book and I found myself reading through it pretty quickly. The beginning starts off kind of slow but towards the middle I couldn't get myself to put it down.

I was totally invested in where this story was going because it went off in a direction I was really not expecting. Almost reminiscent of earlier Nicholas Sparks just not quite as developed, but still a good read.

I debated between a 3.5 and 4 star rating but ultimately went with 4 because of it being "unputdownable".

This book had a lot of potential for me but it just kept missing. It tried way too hard to have mystery moments and gotcha surprises. In the attempt to not reveal too much there was a lot of repetition and avoidance of what actually happened. When she did get around to telling us what happened it was a good story but the structure just didn't work for me. That being said I read the book in one day (with a long flight as part of the day).

Wasn't expecting that twist. And it was a happy ending I could completely support.

After 85 pages, I almost gave up. Stick with it, there is an interesting twist in the story.
