Foster

It is a hot summer in rural Ireland. A child is taken by her father to live with relatives on a farm, not knowing when or if she will be brought home again.

Claire Keegan’s piercing contemporary classic Foster is a heartbreaking story of childhood, loss, and love; now released as a standalone book for the first time ever in the US

read this little gem in one quick sitting. saw david sedaris live a few months ago and he was raving about "small things like these". couldn't get my hands on it at the library, so i read this one first and loved every minute of it.

Really enjoyed the Irish voice for the audiobook and the last chapters were really good, it’s just this type of light story isn’t for me.
