For Now (Star-Crossed City)

Alice Moore was very happy being invisible.

Well, okay. She was happy-ish.

Certainly not miserable enough to volunteer for the monumental task of planning the biggest celebrity wedding of the century-and endure the media frenzy surrounding it. Unfortunately, speaking up for herself has never been her strong suit. So when her best friend sets her up to take on the impossible, she can't exactly say no.

To make matters worse, after a random run-in with the handsome stranger, she starts to think things might be looking up... until she finds out he works for her celebrity couple. And flirting with her was just part of his job. Now, she has to spend the next two months with him while he protects his boss's interests. Namely, her.

Marco Amir is great at his job.

With one notable exception.

He absolutely cannot keep himself away from the beautiful, wallflower wedding planner.

He's supposed to be protecting her from the rabid media, ensuring there are no leaks that compromise the big event. Though, as threats close in and his carefully laid plans begin to unravel, Marco finds he isn't just guarding Alice because he has to, but because he's pretty sure she just might be the one...

If he can somehow convince her their connection isn't just for now.

I want to start by saying I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book, so much that I pre-ordered it. This is book 3 of the Star-Crossed City Series. They are all linked standalone, focused on a different couple in each book. You can read them out of order, but I recommend reading For Always (book 1) and For Ever (book 2) first, since the couples from those books make appearances in this one, but it's not necessary. The MMC, Marco is patient, understanding, perceptive, romantic, and dreamy. Like I would totally add him to my Amazon cart. I love the way he notices Alice's change in moods and is attentive in the most caring way. He always makes Alice feel like the most important girl in the world and gives her is undivided attention. The FMC, Alice, is such a relatable character. She is self-conscious about her weight, hair, appearance, and all around personality, thanks to her narcissistic bully of a mom. But she is an absolute goddess with beautiful blonde curly hair, fair skin, a sweet personality, a knack for making a killer cup of tea, a kick ass wedding planner, and a hidden freak in the sheets. Sadly, for most of the story, she doesn't feel like she is worthy of love or good things. Ari did amazing in making a character relatable to so many women, which is sad, but makes me love Alice even more. If you love bodyguard romance, he falls first, couples that read together, lovers of all things tea, and so much more, then this book is for you. 10/10 recommend reading 📚
