This book is written in a dual POV between Ella and Grayson, but it also bounces from the past to the present along with each characters POV. At first the writing style took a little to get used to because of the past and present switching, but I love a good dual character POV!
I just absolutely fell in love with Ella and Grayson's love for each other! Grayson was captivated by a glance of Ella on the subway and then became the most endearing stalker to find Ella again. The odds weren't in his favor of finding her since he briefly saw her on the subway in New York, but his persistent subway riding paid off!
From the beginning Grayson fell hard for Ella and you could tell he paid attention to the little details, which I LOVE! But then the tragic middle part of their story happened and Ella broke up with Grayson without providing a reason and disappeared.
Grayson spiraled without Ella and went on a bit of an emotional bender.
I ended up partly figuring out the reason for Ella leaving Grayson about halfway through the story, but I didn't guess the whole reason or how it went down. Therefore, I was still surprised at part of it!
I saw that some people thought the story was a bit long at 516 pages, but I was longing for the story to continue! I cannot wait to read the next 2 books in the series!
