Finding Me was an emotional journey. The first few chapters were hard to get through, not because it wasn't compelling or well written, but because it's hard to witness vulnerability and the horrors of another person's life. Definitely worth reading, despite it being a difficult read. The book goes into very intimate details of the author's life, which came as quite a shock to me. She must be very secure in who she is as a woman today to be able to share the kind of information she has in this book. I salute her for being able to come out of her social circumstances and create the life that she has been able to build for herself.
I very much enjoyed learning more about the author, but a writing was so disjointed and disorganized. I found it incredibly frustrating and annoying. Particularly the last 50 or so pages. The writing was very juvenile. I rounded up to three stars because I admire her for everything she's done and overcome.
