Good for its genre but not sure if I like this genre...

Honestly this book was exactly what I expected from listening to others talk about it. But honestly I wasn't impressed, I was stunned at what waited in the pages before me. Not because of the explicit sex scenes, but rather the terribly underdeveloped protagonist, the unrealistic story line and above all else, the disappointing message this novel sends to all women about the value of love within a relationship. I may or may not read the other two.

what's to say...Miss Steele is naturally submissive since she does not speak but mutters and whispers. Mr Grey is highly entertaining, in particular during intercourse. I laughed each time. But he's always preparared, you have to give him that, his jacket must be lined with condoms. The writing is "vanilla", those who read will get it, the others, do yourself a favor and read an actual book.
and last, poor Thomas Hardy being dragged into this farce...
