what's to say...Miss Steele is naturally submissive since she does not speak but mutters and whispers. Mr Grey is highly entertaining, in particular during intercourse. I laughed each time. But he's always preparared, you have to give him that, his jacket must be lined with condoms. The writing is "vanilla", those who read will get it, the others, do yourself a favor and read an actual book.
and last, poor Thomas Hardy being dragged into this farce...

Over a month to get this read-- was thinking I wasn't gonna go on to the second because this just didn't grab hold of me--then I read the ending, talked with a friend who says the second book is better- ugh...I guess I'll have to try...but not just yet-

This was a good story but I really don’t like Christian Grey. He’s such a jerk and his tastes really made me feel uncomfortable half of the time. Other than that very interesting.

I will admit, these books are extremely addictive. You get to reading them and you can't stop. I feel that Anastasia and Christian jump right in and skip the part of getting to know each other and sleep together. I wanted a little more to build on than just them sleeping together and then here comes all the guidelines and rules. There are terms in these books that are way overused. It gets a bit annoying to keep seeing "Ahhh" and "apex" in the books. I did like that Christian went a little easier on Anastasia for her first time, but then he did a 360. It has pretty heated parts, which is great for this book, but I can't tell you how many times she refers to Christian as a "God". I just want to tell her to get over the praising and worshiping him like one.
