Darker: Fifty Shades Darker as Told by Christian (Fifty Shades of Grey Series, 5)

See the world of Fifty Shades of Grey anew through the eyes of Christian Grey--a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the world.

"Please don't bite your lip, Anastasia." My voice is low, full of longing. Will I always want her like this? I want to kiss her, press her into the elevator wall like I did during our first kiss. I want to make her mine again.

Their scorching, sensual affair ended in heartbreak and recrimination, but Christian Grey cannot get Anastasia Steele out of his mind, or his blood. Determined to win her back, he tries to suppress his darkest desires and his need for complete control, and to love Ana on her own terms.

But the horrors of his childhood still haunt him, and Ana's scheming boss, Jack Hyde, clearly wants her for himself. Can Christian's confidant and therapist, Dr. Flynn, help him face down his demons? Or will the possessiveness of Elena, his seducer, and the deranged devotion of Leila, his former submissive, drag Christian down into the past?

And if Christian does win Ana back, can a man so dark and damaged ever hope to keep her?

Ive been in a reading slump that has lasted months and Ive been avoiding this book. And Yes! I will say it. It is repetitive. So yes it took much motivation to finish.
BUUUTTTTTTTTT I did like his pint of view on the specific moments i was looking for since first reading the books.
If you are okay with repetitive stories, Go for it!
Other wise wait it out! LOL
His thoughts and memories are worth the re read though!

Okay, so this series is so redundant compared to the original series. I think part of it is that Christian is genuinely the worst. I find him very irritating and unnecessarily rude.

Genuinely, I would not like him at all in real life. Having said that, the second book was my favorite of the original series so I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like this one more than grey. I wouldn’t recommend reading them from his perspective, but this one is better than the first.

So just one book left and I’ll be completely done!
