50/50 served up 100% mental anguish!  Two sisters on trial for the murder of their father. Who did it?  This story required a heightened level of attention to all the small details. I was going crazy trying to figure out which sister was guilty. In addition to the suspicion, there were constant twists and loops thrown in for added effect. I saw a case that was similar to this plot on Law and Order many years ago, and I thought this story would go in direction, but I was wrong. Both sisters were demented so you really gotta hang in there to see it thru and who the culprit(s) is. I was completely caught up in Kate's own backstory of the daily torment she faced working in a male dominated space at the prestigious law firm she worked in. I wouldn't have been mad if the story was solely focused on that. I thoroughly enjoyed the courtroom showdowns and excitement. I rooted for both lawyers, even though I greatly disliked their defendants. Bonus points for the dog, Clarence! I finished this ready to start a few more legal/courtroom thrillers! I enjoyed the characters, unexpected twists and courtroom showdowns so much and would be interested in starting book 1 and continuing through this series! Great buddy read & discussion for the month with booksta friends!
