Fairest of All-Villains, Book 1: A Tale of the Wicked Queen

An okay retelling ...

Not what I expected but way too much repeating phrases and didn't really have much depth. I did like the idea of the stepmother's background story but it happened all at once and seemed a bit random.

This series has become my absolute favorite series as an adult. I love a good fairytale retelling, but love how Serena includes a unique backstory for these villains that explain how we got here. She is easily one of my go-to authors I recommend at the library!
