I enjoyed this book, though it was harder to follow than Everything is Illuminated. There were times when I was completely lost as to who was speaking and what time period I was in. But I stuck with it, and it was worth it.
There was something particularly charming about this book. The boy is so precocious but it really works. I love the story and journey.
I was EXTREMELY emotional while reading this book. My husband threatened to take it away from me if I couldn't stop crying!!! Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this story, or should I say stories. It's well written with beautiful character development... I would recommend it...
