OMG! This story is so good! Once the problem leaves, self correction occurs. Water seeks its own level. Homeostasis, equality, nature. And then the revolution can begin.

I enjoy her writing immensely. This was a bit of a departure and is probably better to read in one sitting, but lots of interesting ideas to consider here. Race or maybe more appropriately subspecies is examined in a power hierarchy, as well as biotechnology.

clever. some parts had me grinning and chuckling. others made me "shake my head". overall, a good sample of what makes n.k. jemisin so popular.
completed this book with kindle immersion reading and thoroughly enjoyed the narrator. he was a good fit.
