Okay…if I was told to write a book report or presentation on a book that I will forever be grateful for, it would be Elevator Pitch by Evelyn Leigh. LISTEN TO ME….READ….THIS….BOOK…AND THANK ME LATER.
You will not regret it one bit. It was HOT, SEXY, FUN, LOVING ALLLLLLL DAT! It was like a perfectly crafted piece of cake freshly baked on a fall day. Just freaking chef’s kiss.
Im a Taurus so I immediately loved Selah! She was everything to me. I mean I literally loved her. I love her spirit, her sass, her efforts to try and be a better version of herself. I mean she had such a character development. It was amazing. And she was so real, so human and I just wanted everything for my girl. IDK I just felt very connected to her. AND HER BIRTHDAY !!! Day after mine! Loved her. I think she just deserved so much love and her constant internally struggles made me just love her so much.
The sunflower and music metaphors are so beautifully constructed. Sunflowers are my favorite as well. Honestly Selah really just is me.
I also really liked the side characters like the Fools of NY, His parents , her mom and of course the bodyguard. They were just such a sweet addition to the story.

Book boyfriends are one thing…BOOK HUSBAND is another. That was indeed a man….a whole man…every time he spoke, I just giggled, screamed, cried. He was a joy! Like if I could go back and read the book for the first time again….I would just be done. He was amazing from DAY 1 and I just couldn’t get enough of him. His swag, his taste in music, the way he made her feel seen, and heard….the way he cared for her GEEZUS! And don’t get me started on the banter…let me go cool off a bit.
The plot in this story is very character driven and I appreciate that so much. I like when I just get to be with the characterS and experience their life. I think that the writing is great work. It’s an easy read, a fun read, and even the intense parts are just heartwarming to see them interact in.
