This triology became an international sensation when it first came out. Exploring and exposing deep dark secrets and desires that are still taboos in our modern day society. The story didn't have much depth, Christian had a troubled childhood and could never get over the loss of his mother, ultimately resulting in his mummy issues. Anastasia is young, naive and inexperienced university graduate who resembled Christian's mother.... Yep! mummy issues. The course of their love story (if you'd call it that) pans over what seems like a long time but was actually only a few months. Their relationship started off as strictly sexual and you wouldn't expect anything other than the terms of their agreement but the sexual encounters were extremely detailed, leaving nothing unsaid. Almost becoming excessive by book 2. It was a decent read, leading me to the conclusion that erotica styled romances books are not for me.
