I received this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A homeroom of sophomores got a flu vaccine and as a result they developed the ability to read people's minds.

I found the premise interesting, but the follow through did not match it. The lead in took forever. On page seventy the reader was still being introduced to new characters and how they had developed the ESP. The last thirty pages or so were better. The novelty of their situation had begun to wear off. It felt as if at that point the story really began. It also helped that the end of the book was in sight.

The characters were over the top cliche. I began to tack on the one defining characteristic attached to each of them when the character's name was mentioned. Pi the elitist, Mackenzie the bad friend, Olivia the hypochondriac, etc. The entire book I felt like I was watching a conversation between a group of vapid gossiping teenagers.

My favorite character was Olivia. Manly because she was the closest character to having a level of depth. It wasn't actually there, but there was an attempt with her. Olivia was also the nicest person in the book.
