I was not expecting the this to be the size of an informational pamphlet you get from a state park. This is 44 pages and 4 of them is an epilogue. It was a good little story but based off all the other reviews I was expecting to be blow away, in tears anddddd… I was not. It’s good but not spend my money good. I feel like the Author could’ve 10000%% could’ve condensed this and made it an epilogue in the first book. Do you get some closure? sure, but again, it could’ve been an epilogue in the first book. It did not need to be published as it’s own little booklet.

As soon as I finished Under Your Scars, I had to jump straight into the novella. I was so excited to see what Caroline was up to and how her life was going after everything that happened in the first book. Even though novellas aren’t usually my go to, this one was perfect for her story. It gave just enough detail to answer the questions I had without feeling too long or dragging. I loved being able to check in on Caroline and see how she was doing. It wrapped up her story in a really satisfying way. It was a quick, emotional read that added a lot to the world of the first book and gave me exactly what I wanted as a follow up.

This was a sweet follow-up novella for the devastating Under Your Scars. I didn’t know I needed closure from Caroline, but apparently I did. 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️’s

Delilah by Ariel N. Anderson does exactly what you want a novella to do—give answers. It’s short, sharp, and perfect. Anderson has such a gift for capturing grief and trauma with honesty and beauty. Also, I walked away with one unexpected lesson: apparently, money really can solve all your problems.
