Curvy Girls Can't Date Quarterbacks (The Curvy Girl Club®)

Curvy girls deserve happily ever afters too.

I'm a big girl, "plus-sized," whatever. I'm sick of hearing about it, especially since my doctor diagnosed me with PCOS. So when Mean Girl Merritt shot her mouth off about how fat people should just lose weight, I couldn't take it anymore.

And now I've got a huge problem. To prove curvy girls like me can get happily-ever-afters too, I have to get our school's quarterback, Beckett Langley, to take me to homecoming. And he doesn't know I even exist.

But it's not hopeless. Four other girls just like me are willing to help, because enough is enough.

I will not lose this bet.

Curvy Girls Can't Date Quarterbacks is the first book in the lively Curvy Girl Club YA contemporary romance series. If you like resilient teens, building confidence, and snark for days, then you'll adore Kelsie Stelting's sweet story. Get your copy today!

Her friends abandon her before she even got a chance to communicate with her. She was suspended for no reason. She should’ve had a talking to and did the public apology, but the only person that should’ve been suspended with the HOCO Queen. And the student body should have also faced consequences. Under NO circumstances should what they had done been condoned or brushed past. That fake ass apology by queen bee should have seen her expelled. So should the ‘whorey Rory’ artist been suspended or expelled for the stunt. The story was dragged though. There was no need for 61 chapters.

Honestly I wish this book found me when I was younger. Because hell if it wasn’t exactly what teenage Katie needed. As for adult Katie, this was a bit young for her. I also found the prose pedantic and predictable. However, that being said I also picked this up because that’s EXACTLY what I wanted it to be. So this book did everything I wanted and expected.

I liked the overall message, but the negative weight talk from the MC, her family, and peers was really aggressive and started on page one. The ending brought it around, but I think I was only able to finish this book because I’m much further ahead on my self acceptance journey than the 17 year old MC.
