This book was actually so good. Yes it took me forever to get through it because I have to work but I literally read like 300 pages today just to finish it. I wanted to take a star off because of how long it took grace to get through the last trial, (and take a shot for every time she mentions a granola bar or poptart) but her falling out with Jaxon that sort of happened throughout the whole book and finally they breakup at the end kept me going.
I was genuinely so surprised when she found out Jaxon was studying how to break their bond , and then was literally preparing to break it (when Cole discovered the spell in the trash I guess for some reason) had me on the floor
Besides that I felt that there was a lot going on in this book compared to how dragged out the first one was. (We had grace embracing her gargoyle powers, flint is in LOVE with Jaxon(again, on the floor), and finding all the magical pieces to bring Hudson back as a mortal but INSTEAD bc of grace came back with his powers which he then lent to her bc he has a big ol crush on her UGH)
I love how Hudson softened up as I got through the book bc tbh I never liked Jaxon sorrrryyyy
I really want to rip into the 3rd book but I’m getting married in like a little under 2 weeks and want to save my excitement and anticipation for when I get back 😩

This book was absolutely amazing! I love how sarcastic Hudson is, I can totally see Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore from tvd) playing him in the movie. I loved Hudson’s last line at the end of the book “Jaxon, if you wouldn’t mind, take your f*cking hands off my mate.” I love that’s his way of telling her that he is her new mate!!!! I could totally see Ian delivering that line perfectly! Lol! It also killed me when that son of a b*tch, Cole broke Jaxon and Grace’s mating bond. Anyway can’t wait for the next book!!! Love you Tracy Wolff 4ever!
Crush was definitely better than Crave. I enjoyed this book so much more and was completely engrossed in the plot. We got to see a more in depth inside look to supporting characters and their abilities, their friendships and feelings. This book was definitely a fun ride, with an emotionally heartbreaking moment and a OMG cliffhanger ending.
