Bree moves back home to solve her sister, Erin’s murder. Erin’s ex- husband, Justin, is missing and a suspect. Bree is a police officer and Olof her jurisdiction, but she joins up with Matt, a former deputy and Justin’s best friend, to solve the crime. Reading this mystery was pleasurable way to pass the time, but it was not a compelling must-read book.
Good ol' fashioned who Dunnit.
In the words of Pam (Gavin and Stacey) "it's all the drama Mick, I just love it"
This story had me trying to figure the story out, who was guilty and of what. There was the odd bit that was predictable but even then it wasn't bad. I enjoyed the story and the fact it was written from multiple perspectives. Bree's and others implicated. If like me you tend to figure out what's happening quite early on this one will have you questioning yourself throughout.
Ready to pick up the next in the series after reading books 0.5 (short story) and book one (cross heart).
