You know that the main character has something to hide in her past from the very beginning. That is what kept me reading. When it goes public, you are pulled into the conflicting emotions of all involved and gradually into what happened all those years ago. The disappearance of daughter shows you what true friendship is all about and makes you question how much you really know about your friends and how much you are willing to do for friends that have so much ugliness in their past.
My first time reading a book written by Sarah Pinborough but it definitely won’t be my last. Her writing style is fantastic and the book itself with all the twists and turns kept me engaged and not wanting to put the book down, it kept me guessing right until the end. I love unpredictable books and this was definitely a great one.
