So I actually liked this book. The reason it has such a low rating is because of how slow the book moved. Like I struggled finishing it, and sometimes I sped read to skip a few parts. However I did enjoy the murder case aspect of the book, the mystery of it. I loved the romance, the step sibling vibe but transitioning into something more concrete, the BDSM, and etc. I really enjoyed the obsessive part of Connor. While he is no Consent king, I love how he eases up in the end, especially with the sedation, like he tries, and that is very important. But overall enjoyed the book, and cannot wait to read the next book and solve this case! And to read more into Cassie’s and Riordan’s bubbling tension!
