1 love how Erin and Capone are with each other. He brings out the soft woman out of her. All the stuff they go through together and overcome is chefs kiss
Cap - loving will crash out about Erin- Shows her she can trust him, love of fam and friends. But will Crash Out about them ex: Capone to a dude talking to Erin: Yo, quick question⌠what you want your obituary to say? LOL
or âYou ever seen a man so fine you start planning your wedding, kids, and matching tattoos before he even says hello? Yeah, thatâs Capone.â
This was an excellent read, ends with you needing to start Book II
For me this was a 3 âď¸ series.
â
Each story kept me caught up in the boiling over hood drama, cheating scandals, betrayals and ghetto love! They all ended with a cliffhanger that made you instantly start on the next book!
â
So, why a 3 âď¸ series?
â
Book 1 introduces us to Capone and Erinâs backgrounds, family life and budding relationship.
â
Book 2 picks up after a big cliffhanger & deeper into couple life, which was a bit boring.
â
Book 3 was more action packed, and brings more of Capriâs drama, but very repetitive.
â
They were good, but a bit of the exact same structure that is common in most urban fiction. The HNIC with endless wealth, luxury carsâŚsets his sights on the sweetest, most deserving woman to have his back. He immediately sweeps her off her feet, lavishes her with expensive gifts, moves her in & controls her whereabouts under the guise of love.

Capone wasnât the big dog that he thought he was. He and his family kept getting touched and put in danger. I hated how things escalated and innocent people had to be lured into a life of crime. A true boss wouldâve stayed in the loop to be prepared for any risk of danger to his family. And as a man he shouldâve kept the younger men in his family away from the life. I didnât like how Capone treated Ella like trash.
â
The one thing that I wouldâve liked to have seen more of throughout the series were on the topics of alopecia and sickle cell. That was good.
â
I used to read urban fiction all the time, so now itâs like reading the same story with different names. In this genre itâs very hard for me to find something fresh and exciting because the books I read in the 2000s pretty much had the game on lock and the new ones read more like replicas of the classics The Prada Plan, B-More Careful+.
â
I fear Capadonna and Capri will be more of the same. This is a well loved series so definitely read it for yourself!! The narration was ok, I liked Winston Jamesâ performance.
A solid read. Erin, the main character, can be a bit challenging at times, and the storyline leans toward the predictable. Still, it keeps you engaged and is one youâll want to finish.
