I added this one to my kindle library before I read any other Lucy score. It was on ku and iliked the cover, thought it was cute, but it was way more than cute. It was classic Lucy score and delivered on all the romance and the spice. i absolutely loved ally. She was real and deep and doing her best. She loves her dad and wants to do the right thing and although everything is tough, she remains positive. Dominic is one of those classic billionaire, grumpy bosses we get in these romances and although crazy annoying to read his stupidity, he’s hot and sweet when he wants to be. I think one of my more favorite parts of this one was that ally and dom are not twenty-something, they are in their 40s which makes it felt so different, it shows that it’s never too late to find your person and i loved it plus their chemistry, tension and spice are incredible.

This was my book club's March pick. This was AMAZING! WOW!

Ally is a bad ass. She is the epitome of resilience.

This story was amazing from start to finish. The tension was truly written so incredibly that I was constantly on the edge of my seat.

Everything about Dom and Ally, their banter, stubbornness, love they clearly have for each other and the need to help each other was so beautiful to read. I did not want this book to end. It felt like I knew these characters and the end of the story was just that, the end and I was not ready.

Amazingly done! LOVE IT!

Big fan of the strong FMC (Ally), the grumpy MMC (Dominic), the witty banter, the “older” ages of the MCs, etc. Lost a star for the third act break up, which praise be, was short. And the pregnancy happy ending… We just don’t need those epilogues in my opinion.

Reread Review: My opinion remains the same! Still loved it! :)

Overall, I loved this book. The FMC was annoying at times, but the banter between the main characters was top tier. Several laugh out loud moments, that’s for sure.
