Butterfly

Butterfly is the first novel in an all new series by New York Times bestselling author Ashley Antoinette and an instant USA Today bestseller!

“Run away from the boy that gives you butterflies, he's going to break your heart.”

Morgan Atkins had been told that phrase ever since she was a little girl and still she allowed herself to fall for the boy that made her heart flutter. After losing her first love, Morgan is terrified to love again. She's settled for a comfortable life with a respectable man. She has everything. She's living in the lap of luxury and although she's comfortable, she's bored out of her mind.

When a ghost from her past blows into town, she finds herself entangled in an illicit affair. It's wrong, but she can't fight the butterflies he gives her and honestly, she doesn't want to. She can't hide the natural attraction she feels and soon, she's so deep involved that she can no longer tell where the boundary between right and wrong lies. Her heart is telling her one thing, but her head is saying another. Morgan Atkins has always been a spoiled girl and she tries to have it all, but when she's forced to choose between a good man and a bad boy, someone will end up hurt. Someone just may end up dead.

Morgan Atkins has been through more tragedy than one girl can bear. Will she weather this storm? Or will the ultimate heartbreak ruin her for good?

To truly appreciate her work, you really have to be a big fan of AA. While you can read *Butterfly* as a standalone series, it's more impactful if you read the series in the order they were written to fully appreciate each character's growth and development. The *Prada Plan* series introduces us to YaYa and Ethic, and Ethic has his own series with Alani. Now, Morgan is branching out into *Butterfly*. Honestly, Morgan has been exhausting for me. I didn’t notice it in the Ethic series, but this time around, I found myself getting tired of her. At this point, Messiah is gone, and she’s trying to move on with Bash, but she also finds herself “in love” with Ahmeek—one of Messiah’s right-hand men. She really puts Meek through the ringer in this installment. Yes, we know what they're doing is wrong, and if Messiah could, he’d strike them down with lightning. I’m pretty sure he’d give Meek the green light to pursue Morgan, but seriously, why is she contemplating it so much? Either make a decision or don’t, lol. Meek supports Morgan in ways that Bash never could, and if she doesn’t want him, I’d gladly take him off her hands! On a positive note, I did love Morgan’s development with Messari and Yara. Seeing her embrace the mother role so well makes up for the other areas in which she is still learning to navigate. As for ISA, I was rooting for you and Aria until you messed things up for her just 10 minutes after she left the house! Honestly, Aria deserves better than Isa; he has some real changes to make before they should even consider officiating anything. Can’t wait for book 2

The best one so far starting from the ethic series. This book had drama, love, madness. Everything! Such a great read from the start to the end!
