This book did put me into a slump, I was contemplating dropping it but somehow pushed on because of the high average rating, I wanted to know if it was that good. This book was supposed to be high-school RH and bully but I didn't really see both. The reverse harem aspect was just Hadley acknowledging her feelings for the 3 guys (there was no action other than several 1-1 instances) and as for the bully aspect, I wouldn't say what the boys did to her was bullying. They just made the entire school isolate her but she stood up to everyone anyway.
The start was incredibly slow, there was nothing explained or no room for curiosity as it was just content about how the school worked and how the 4 MCs ruled the school. The plot made me dislike Hadley, it's hard to continue reading a book when you didn't like the FMC. Especially when she had a bad impression about others who liked the Princes (West, Cam, Hawk and Mason) when she in fact couldn't control herself in her pants.
The book only picked up at the 56% mark, where things got a little interesting and I was curious about the plot unfolding. There is some foreshadowing of a rough past that Hadley and the Princes have, with some being intertwined. Hadley also has sex with the school counsellor, whom I'm guessing is more than just a counsellor. Though the abuse of power here is a little questionable.
The book ended in a cliffhanger which of course did its job of keeping me interested in wanting to know what happens (though it is a long series, not sure if it'd get better). If you ask me though did the book serve justice to the high ratings? I'd say probably not.
