The first two novellas are the same novellas from Cruel Crown... so I practically read 1/3 of the book already! I loved the annotations and document notes regarding the history and "study" of this world, and it really brings home the fact that this series is actually set about 300 years in our own future. It feels more like an epic fantasy until I see their history and map overlays! The ending brings fun closure to some of our favorite characters. This book is a great way to fully wrap up Red Queen.

It feels like this series got worse as it went on. It's too long.
These stories don't really add anything. It's unfortunate. I want to like it.
Evangeline and Maven are still the most interesting to me.
Mare still sucks.

This book helped clear up some of the frustration I had with War Storm. I enjoyed hearing how the characters had done with their cause. I like that the book had a "realistic" ending.
