This is probably one of her more angstier books. There is a lot of what feels very real back and forth between the main couple. But their bond is so electric it's so easy to fall back into them when they are back "on"
I also appreciate the fertility and talks of women's health that was weaved into the story. These things are important to many women.
I would just suggest to draw back on the internal dialogue just a tiny baby bit, or maybe its me. I kept wanting to find out how they would connect again, what else would happen.
But I love anything Allen writes, I cannot wait to read something else by her. She has the best banter and spice that is always so memorable.

Layla and William.. a broken clock is only right twice a day, so seize the day and the opportunities.. a great back and forth love story.. that will have you on an emotional roller coaster ride.. when the grandma left a letter stating her clock broke when it was 9:27am and then the husband died, it weighed so much significance for me.. life is really too short to not live in the moment and enjoy what the heart truly wants.. I hate Layla and William wasted so much time before they got it right.. and then became a little too late.. a great read that’ll I’ll cherish
