I am obsessed with dragons and love this story! Also adore how "Bred by a Wolfman" bleeds into this one near the end. Even though I read Wolfman first, it was still super cute to make the connection.
I kept seeing this and other installments of this series. Since I like dragons, I thought it would be a good one to start with. Turning a relationship on its head with the contractual physical agreement with Zack and Sammy was to be expected but both of them were dragging their feet in the communication area. Does that make this book apart of the communication trope group?? 🤔 Not sure. But the back and forth made me dislike them as couple. Ironically it was the question about mortality that really annoyed me in the book. Like if Sammy is compatible biologically to have a dragon baby, why isn’t there some magical or ancient way for her and Zack to be mated or bonded that would slow down her aging or something? Maybe I’ve read too many monster romances, but it’s a fair question. It’s also why I feel the book is more on the plot side. If that issue was addressed or resolved, there wouldn’t be a foundation for much of the tension in the story.
