Born of Blood and Ash: A Flesh and Fire Novel

Since this is a prequel series and we already know, on some level, what to expect from the OG series I feel safe in saying there really are not any spoilers here other than mentioning what you will not hear about in this book.
I knew this was a prequel series so the end was basically already laid out, but I guess I expected a little more in the final Kolis battle. Overall, this book was everything I hoped for to wrap up the prequel series and I enjoyed that I was able to read what happened before FBAA occurred. I will say, I wish there were more on Sera's kids though, I had hoped for a chapter or two of being able to see her be a parent and see the relationship between her and the kids prior to where we are now in the FBAA series. I also would have loved more information on why exactly Sera is sleeping in FBAA. Assumably this will be told to us in that series, or perhaps even another spin off? (Doubtful, but a girl can dream right?! I just don't want this universe to end!)
