This is one weird story. It’s so believably written that I kept having to remind myself that it’s fiction. Who hasn’t wanted to become an animal? Such freedom. I was reminded of the short story The Lady, or the Tiger? by Frank R Stockton.
While I can understand that the style of this story isn't for everyone, I thought it was brilliant to present it in the form of an academic paper. It really allowed the author to get a lot of information across in a condensed form. I also feel like using a traditionally non-fiction format had the added bonus of making the story seem more real.
