Black Ties and White Lies: A Billionaire Fake Fiance Romance (Black Tie Billionaires)

Life is never black and white.

One minute you're a struggling graphic designer in LA that's finally coming to terms with being single forever, and the next you're flying to New York in a private jet to get engaged to your ex-boyfriend's older brother.

At least...that's what everyone thinks. Forced to clean up his playboy image in order to protect his company, Beckham Sinclair, the city's most eligible billionaire bachelor, wants me to be his fake fiancée and personal assistant.

Now I'm spending every spare second with a man I thought I'd never see again.

My freshly mended heart has barely recovered from the first time a Sinclair broke it. But with each passing day, Beck's dirty mouth and lingering stares make me question his motives-and mine.

As the line blurs between real and pretend, only one thing is certain: there are secrets hiding in this city full of black ties and white lies.

Black Ties and White Lies is a billionaire, fake relationship, forced proximity, and ex's older brother novel and a complete standalone by Kat Singleton.

This book wasn’t all that, but I still loved it. It was predictable, cheesy, and had every trope I eat up. If a man truly wanted to, he would!! Beckham Sinclair—the man you are!!! He literally bought the entire company Margo worked at just so she’d have no choice but to talk to him because she was ignoring his calls. He created a fake news article just to convince her to be his fake fiancée as a way to clean up his image, but let’s be real—he only did it because he’s been in love with her from the moment he first laid eyes on her.

And let’s talk about how perfect he is. The man cooks, he spoils her, and he literally turned a room in his apartment into an art studio just for her. Like, find me a man who actually supports your dreams like that. He never once tried to change her—he just loved her for exactly who she was. I need a Beckham Sinclair in my life immediately.

But frick Carter. He should have stayed gone after the breakup. Like, how do you cheat on Margo—the most amazing woman ever—throughout their entire relationship and then still have the audacity to think he had a chance at winning her back?? Make it make sense, lol.

So yeah, was it predictable? Yes. Was it kinda ridiculous? Absolutely. Did I devour every second of it? Without question.

Honestly I almost gave this 7, instead of 8, but the last quarter really made up for it. I looove that he was so head over heels for her. Fake relationships are my favorite. Also quality spice.

Language and Violence. Very spicy scenes lasting several chapters. There was of course the drama that comes with fake vs real romance, but it was resolved pretty quickly. Less Angst than I am used to with this trope. Thoroughly enjoyed it though and will read again.
