I don’t know why but I wasn’t that shocked about this book. It just didn’t grab me and it was fine but I don’t see what the hype was.
This is not the typical type of book I read. But I really did enjoy it. The end even got my a little teary eyed. I loved reading about Evelyn’s love life and such. But the losses she endured hit home in a few aspects for me.
Read in 2 weeks. Definitely not what I thought it was going to be about but I didn't hate what I was reading either! I feel like I should say the subgenre that this book is (bc it's not for everyone) but then I'd spoil it. Good life lessons scattered throughout. Learned what celebrity lifestyle and drama is like. Good plot twist. Lots of emotions, tears, feels from the characters, not that it got the emotions out of me, though.
I loved this book. I didn’t expect it. I expected a tell-all old Hollywood historical fiction, what I got was a LGBTQ story that I didn’t see coming. But more than that, it’s a story of people who were complex and had to hide so much of themselves.

A captivating, heart warming yet heart breaking story. Not what I was expecting but it kept me captivated to the extent that it was read in one day as I couldn’t put it down.
