Bad Men: A Novel

Darkly comic and addictively readable, Bad Men is a wild romp of a feminist thriller that asks if even a serial killer can have a happily ever after.

Julie Mae Cohen subverts expectations with this gripping thriller where the woman is the hunter, not the prey.

Saffy, a vigilante with a strict moral code, takes justice into her own hands, eliminating the "bad men" who prey on women. But as she gets closer to the man of her dreams, she must decide if love is worth risking everything.

Saffy's mission is fueled by righteous anger and a deep desire for justice, but it's also complicated by her own vulnerabilities and desires. As she navigates the treacherous waters of romance and revenge, she'll challenge your assumptions about what it means to be a hero.

Sharp, witty, and utterly original, Bad Men is a must-read for fans of Gillian Flynn and Oyinkan Braithwaite. It's a thrilling, thought-provoking exploration of power, morality, and the lengths we'll go to protect the ones we love.

What a fun story! This wasn't exactly the descriptive thriller that I normally dive into, but I really enjoyed this one. The main character, Saffy, gave me major Pam (from True Blood) vibes, and I loved her for it. Breaking the fourth wall made her so funny and enjoyable, all while she was living the best life and also murdering a few people on the side while on her quest to snag her crush, Jon. Not entirely graphic, but so so funny. Definitely would recommend if you need a pallet cleanser from the dark stuff!

Kept me on my toes but I was surprised by the ending, wonder if there will be another book to continue the story or if the ending of a lovestory was the end to it entirety.

I was impressed by the author's ability to create such a complex and intriguing character in the female serial killer. The way she was portrayed was both chilling and fascinating, making me question my own assumptions about gender and violence. The twists and turns so comical at times, eagerly turning pages to see what would happen next. The witty dialogue added a layer of humor that balanced out the darker elements of the story, making it an enjoyable and engaging read from start to finish. Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a thrilling and entertaining read. It's a refreshing take on the light serial killer genre.
