It's always nerve wracking heading into a book mid-series, even if they can be read as a stand alone. There will always come a time when I want to know about the other characters and know their stories too. And to say I am intrigued is an under statement.
In this installment - we have Callie and Everett - two broken characters just trying to get by. Callie, holding everyone at arms length to due her past, and Everett, living with his own demons from HIS past. These two couldn't be more perfect for each other, but in a not so obvious way.
I could understand both of their hesitations - since Callie's past revolved around a loss of a family member and the circumstances surrounding that - and Everett's PTSD. On the flip side - due to Callie's past, Everett had this own reservations. So these two learning to trust one another and let love take it's course was beautiful. Sad, but beautiful. Everett took things slow with Callie - and pushed her when it was necessary.
I also adored the secondary characters, which are the main characters in the other novels. I am so curious about their stories and will more than likely start this series over just to get it!
Overall - I adored Bad for Me! I highly recommend it to everyone that loves a good angst fulled story full of love, friendships and second chances.
