Three stars because I didn’t like like the character whatsoever. I found her piss-poor attitude about everything very unappealing. But I found myself constantly thinking about this story when I couldn’t finish reading it the first time around. Even though the character was not relatable ((or so I thought at first)) and she irked me a lot, I was constantly thinking about how her story would end.
I picked up this book a while ago and felt really detached from the characters so I stopped reading it and kept it on my shelf for a good long time. But my mind kept trailing back to this story. When I picked it up again, after living a little and growing up and changing myself, I realized that Auden and I weren’t so different. So I decided I’d read on and see just how Auden grew too.
It was a cute story. Nothing exceptional, but cute and I felt neither satisfied nor discontent with the way it ended. That’s why I give it three stars, it was neither bad nor great. Just cute and a sort of pleasant summer read.

This book started off so strong. Then something happened after the road trip that slowed the pace way too much too many mundane problems kept happening that didn’t allow the characters to work it out. It was almost like a reverse slow burn but nonetheless, I truly enjoyed it. This book has really great banter. I think my favorite banter was when they were on the road trip but the steamy scenes were really delightful as well. I like the way, Mimi Grace writes friend groups. She makes you feel like you’re in there making fun of your fellow friends as well.
Loved this book when I was reading it
Not the best but I still like her.
Along for the Ride is a beautiful coming of age story about Auden finding out who she is and Eli overcoming a traumatic tragedy.
