Mia Winchell appears to be a typical kid, but she's keeping a big secret--sounds, numbers, and words have color for her. No one knows, and Mia wants to keep it that way. I found it rather unrealistic. Nobody seems to know about synesthesia except a specialist doctor... even though it's not that unknown. That was the major reason this book rubbed me the wrong way, and I also found the main character too unlikable.
