There were so many cringy moments, and honestly, I hated the second half.
Yes, Pip is book smart, but she’s not street smart, and that doesn't work for a mystery novel.
She made so many bad decisions, and it honestly made me mad when it did work out for her. It's not realistic, and it felt very scripted. Clearly, this is a book, but it's clear this book was written so that everything would work out for her in the end. It was cheesy and felt forced.
