A Court of Mist and Fury

HOLY. SHIT. DUDE. Every one of these books has seemed to be going so well in the beginning and then it’s all ripped from you, chewed, shredded, and spat back at you. I got to the last ten chapters and I was left genuinely speechless. I am LOVING this series.

I’m including part 2 in this so it counts as one book, I loved the actors!

I was a little underwhelmed with the first book of the series and slightly reluctant to continue but I was intrigued and spurred on by some friends to persevere. I'm SO glad I did. A Court of Mist and Fury had everything that the first book lacked for me. Battle, magic, action, powers, steam, emotion, twists and more importantly a connection to the characters. I felt so much for more Feyre and Rhys throughout this book and as a result felt so much more immersed in their world. After reading the second book in the series the first book makes much more sense, although there was less going on for me in A Court of Thorns and Roses Sarah J.Mass was setting up for this second book and now I can't wait to start the third!

Firstly I take back all I said about the first book, it makes sense now and it’s perfect!
