This is the 4th Kate Shugak mystery. Kate is sent to crack a drug ring at an oil rig north of the Arctic Circle. She finds herself strangely drawn to the life of excess: rich food, a sauna, maid service. She needs to solve the case and get herself back home before it’s too late, in more ways than one. The end of this book had me in tears. Kate Shugak rules!
